Ingredients

  • 4 cups non-dairy milk
  • 1/3 cup date syrup or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder optional (see notes)

Instructions

  • Whisk all together in a saucepan on the stove. Cook over medium heat until warm. Top with vegan whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and crushed chocolate chips as desired.

Notes

Yes, you truly can skip the cocoa powder if you prefer! The date syrup gives this drink a nice chocolatey color and pleasant sweetness.
